    Bill,

I really enjoy your teachings and the way in which you present the information in a clear and concise manner.

We are going to have Passover in our home this year and our son has invited several of his friends and our former “church” pastor. Which Messianic Hagada would you recommend that we use?

    Thanks,
    Hermina

Hermina. I apologize for not responding before now but somehow your comment slipped by me. Since I’m too late for this year I’ll tell you what I have used over the years – The Messianic Passover Haggadah (with my own improvisations). Again I’m sorry I overlooked your comment.

    Bill,
Recently we have had two people from our chevarim have “revelations” about the start of the days. These two are leaning toward day as starting in the morning & going till the next morning. We, as a whole have started our days at erev- evening and gone to the next evening. My biggest marker is the New Moon. We don’t see the New Moon and then wait for the morning to celebrate Yom Teruah. No, we celebrate it that evening! Right?
These folks are citing Gen 1:5 as there revelation verse. Gen 1:5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
These folks are very deep thinkers and it will take a lot of study to convince them.
    Shabbat Shalom,
    Joe

Well I think like you do. As far as your friends, personally, I wouldn’t spend a lot of time trying to convince them to come over to your side. Chances are they don’t want to be convinced. Furthermore, if they tried to convince me otherwise, I’d tell them that I do not agree with them and lets move on to something else. But that’s just me. Shalom.

    Bill,
loved, and mostly agreed with your teaching recently at Bet Ami…(big smile)
What are the leaders doing to promote unity? Can the leaders to anything to promote unity? Do we even have any leaders? Or are we just being blown around “by His Spirit?” and if we are, how long can this go on?
Many are confused, (me anyway) and I see the book of Judges everywhere, “people doing what is right in their own eyes…”

It must be so difficult for you guys that we look to for teaching, thank you! Am praying earnestly for some unity. Bless you!

Jeff; Thanks for the comments. As far as the question about unity – when we start focusing on our path instead of everyone else’s; when we don’t look at brothers as competitors; when we focus on the Messiah and His example, perhaps then we will come into unity. In my humble opinion that probably won’t happen, unfortunately, until the stuff hits the fan. Shalom.

    shalom bill,
you will recall our brief conversation on sunday evening, april 29th, at bnai yisrael assembly in tulsa( or broken arrow). i just wanted to remind you that i, for one, would appreciate seeing the “Hebrew Basics II” getting posted to your website whenever you can get that task accomplished. Hebrew Basics I has been a huge inspiration to me! thanks!
on another thought, i would like to transliterate english words, like peoples’ names, into hebrew; like using fey, lamed, samekh and appropriate vowel points for the name phyllis. i just don’t want to be sacreligious. any thoughts on this matter?
    shalom,
    james

    • Bill says:

Hello James; Yes, I remember our conversation. I’ll start working on that right away. As far as the transliteration question, it is done all the time. There are guys in Israel that make a living transliterating names into Hebrew for necklaces and the like. I think it is perfectly fine. Shalom. P.S. Give me a week or two on the Hebrew Basics II project.
