For What It’s Worth (May 28, 2013)

It would appear that Eric Holder's Department of Justice isn't content with DOJ employees simply keeping quiet if they are opposed to gay equality, but apparently intends to force them to verbally affirm their support for gay rights.

This is just another in a long line of attempts on the part of the current administration to force opponents and, especially, believers to bow the knee to their immoral yet "tolerant" political positions. When you string all the "pearls" together - e.g. Obamacare, gay marriage, attack on 2nd Amendment rights, IRS targeting of conservative groups - the picture is clear, at least to me. The Adversary is no longer content with you and I just being quiet - the tares are never content nor satisfied, nor will they be until the wheat gives up and dies.

In my opinion, "Babylon" is rising and is busy building an "image" on the plain of Dura. It won't be much longer before demands are made that all should bow the knee to the god of Co-existence. I don't know what you intend to say when faced with this challenge but, with His help, I intend to say, "But if not, we will still not bow down."

As a former Marine, this memorial day I threw the flag in the trash. It hasn’t meant anything really since 1871 when we became nothing more than a corporation and frankly I’m tired of being played. But what urks me and puts a bee in my bonnet is when you force people who have signed and oathed their very lives to a nation and it’s flag to go against their beliefs, well it’s just not something I’ll support anymore.

Melissa; I hear your frustration and identify with it. I’m choosing to look at it this way – I can’t truly and wholeheartedly embrace the Father’s plan for the future until I’m willing to die to what I have held dear. The ongoing events help me to realize the country I loved no longer exists. Perhaps if His people were to truly repent we might see a change but that is the only thing that could turn this country around. Shalom.
