Love these teachings – have to ask where you get your themes. Love this one especially, and also the Shoreshim teachings where the roots are coming through the ground making the vines. Does your older son help you with these? Wondered if he is the guitar player for your weekly torah portions, or do you do that yourself? (I know you are a musical family.)

    • Bill says:

Jay; my son Brandon is the one who designs and builds our graphics. Yes, he plays guitar but is not the guitarist for the Portions intro – that is Joe Goldovitz, a friend of mine.

(Sorry to bother you. I’m an ol granny and not up on all the new technology. ) But, I have a question and I wondered if I could ask you. I’ve been reading in Job. 41 verse 4. All the translations I have seen have = HE will make a covenant with thee? Will YOU take him for a servant forever? I don’t know enough Hebrew yet to understand WHY the He and You are in the place they are in. – From the Hebrew words that are there. If you are too busy, I totally understand. I love your teaching, I watch when I can.

    • Bill says:

Nora; first of all let me apologize for the long delay in responding. This is one of those posts that I needed to take a look at the reference in question and just forgot about – my apologies.

As far as the question, it looks to me that the “he” and “you” are understood. Beyond that I really don’t know any other reason for their presence.

I’m sorry I don’t have more to offer you

      Shalom

    Shalom…

I concur; Love these Word Teachings……

    Thank You…. !

What comes to mind vividly is the Parable of the VINE….

“I am the True Vine and my Father is the HUSBANDMAN, every “branch in me” that bears not fruit; HE, takes away (destroys), and “EVERY BRANCH THAT BEARS FRUIT; HE PURGES / BARAR…”

    – NEXT WORD PLEASE…. !

    • Bill says:

Dirk; Unfortunately, something developed today that forced me to change my plans. I won’t be in the area after all. Thanks for replying, though. Shalom.
