Categories: All Posts, Audio Teachings, General, The Gleaning Corner, Video Teachings

This is a post from our video series about the wealth of information contained within the Hebrew alphabet. This second session begins discussion on the depth of the Hebrew language found within the letters themselves. This session focuses on the alef and the beit. (Approximately 70 minutes).

Please note: slower internet speeds do not make for enjoyable viewing and there is nothing I can do about that. However, if you do have trouble viewing the video, we have provided the teaching below in audio. You might find it more practical to listen to the mp3 file and follow along with the powerpoint.

    Shalom Bill…
I’m hoping you could help me out…I have been trying to get to the bottom of “The bulls of Bashan surround ME”…can you add any light Hebraically to what was said in:
Psalms 22:12 Many bulls have surrounded Me; Strong ones of Bashan have encircled Me. (Were the bulls of Bashan referenced here The Pharisee/Sadduccee and High Priest (Edomite) how were constantly trying to trick Messiah with their questions?
Also does this verse tie into the “Bulls of Bashan surrounding ME?”
Ezekiel 39:18 “Eat the flesh of the mighty, drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams and lambs, of goats and bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan.”
Is this referring to the Wedding supper of the Lamb, where it appears that the feast will be Esau “the Hairy goat”? And the fact that the High Priest Caiphas (who was serving at the time of Messiahs death) was an edomite, which is Esau?
Appreciate any light to can spread on this 🙂
Baruch HaShem Yahushua HaMashiach V’Avi Yahoveh!!!

Cyndie; As far as the question goes, I haven’t spent an incredible amount of time looking into this but as far as Psalm 22 goes, the context is “Eli, Eli lama shavachtani” (My God, my God why have you forsaken me?) [Ps. 22:1]. This is of course what Y’shua said from the tree. I have always considered those who surrounded Him at that particular time – those who are taunting him with, “If you are the Son of God…” and those soldiers of Rome inflicting all this punishment upon him – as good candidates for the “bulls of Bashan.” I don’t think Ezekiel 39:18 has anything to do with the Marriage Supper of the Lamb but of that particular battle fought upon the mountains of Israel. Of course those mountains are in the area that was known as Bashan. Caiaphas obviously played a role in the execution of the Messiah and for that reason his identity is suspect but to say dogmatically that he is an Edomite … hmmm …not sure. Hope this helps. Shalom.
