Bill, I always thought that the flood was in the spring. Gen. 7:11 says that in the second month, on the 17th day, the floor occurred. Am I reading this wrong? Seems that would put it in late April or early May. Can you clear this up for me? Thanks. I love these devotionals and am so blessed by them!

There are those who believe that it was in the Spring, specifically beginning in the month we call Iyar (2nd after Aviv). However, some traditions place it in the month Cheshvan (2nd after Tishri) which assumes that Tishri was the first month until the Creator tells Israel that Aviv is to be the beginning of the months for them (Ex. 12). That is why I stressed that this was a traditional view – mind you, not the only one. Hope that helps. Shalom.

Bill- Yes! I was just studying about the cloud of darkness and have come to the conclusion it is the place of judgement. He is a God of completion and will not judge until the acts being judged are complete, which makes the place of darkness longer. The light, as you say, then shines when we die to ourselves in order that He and His mercy might reside in us. Many think of Him as a heartless judge. On the contrary, the enemy is the heartless judge and man tends to be fooled into thinking that man has more mercy than Yahweh. Man does not have the power to judge, but to choose whom he will be judged by. I choose Yahshua, the author of Mercy.
I had a vision when approaching the Father on account of the sin of one I loved. As we asked for His mercy-

I saw a mighty king with a sword going into my loved one. At once, Yahshua took her place and received the fatal wound. Ann

    As for me..

The Darkness created by the hand of the Creator as HIS dwelling place displaces any doubt of where I can find HIM….
There, in the HIS DARKNESS, where all the power of our physical senses are brought to their lowest estate, there, and only there, is one capable of learning how to be ONE….

“All seed” begin their growth in darkness, and it just so happens that plants internalize their growth in darkness…
Is this not a physical law reflecting a spiritual understanding ?

    Shalom, Shalom
