Shabbat Shalom (belatedly!! I was ‘resting’, =) )

In the last few days ABBA showed me something amazing (at least to me, I know I’m preachin’ to the choir, lol) concerning the Sabbath…

God’s Sabbath command is eternally going FORTH. He *SPOKE* the 10 commandments (Deut.4:10-14) & nothing that comes from *God’s own mouth* returns to Him void (Isa.55:11). Because the Israelites then would not HEAR (H8085, same as “obey”) God THEN wrote it on STONE because of their HEART OF STONE (Job. 41:24). Circumcision of the heart is removal of the heart of STONE [which is refusal to hear/stiffnecked pride] (Deut.10:16, 30:6, Ezek. 11:19, 36:26) & HEARING (obeying/doing). When the people BROKE His commandments, it was as breaking the marriage covenant in UNFAITHFULNESS. Moses BREAKING the stone reflected the disobedience of the peoples’ HEARTS, but also God’s promise to BREAK UP the fallow ground of their heart (Jer.4:3, Hos.10:12) & give them a NEW heart– one that desires to HEAR (shema, “obey”) —what Israel of old REFUSED to hear….And what we hear (obey) now, since that Word shall not return to Him void.

    Yes agree on graven images.

On top of the US Capitol sits the Goddess of Liberty The sculptor who made the great statue was Italian. His name was Auguste Bertholdi. His work was greatly influenced by the ancient sculptor Phidias who made gigantic statues of the ancient goddesses, particularly Athena, the “goddess of wisdom” and Nemesis (another name for Venus), a goddess who held a cup in her right hand. Before beginning the statue of liberty project, Bertholdi was seeking a commission to construct a giant statue of the goddess “Isis,” the Egyptian Queen of Heaven, to overlook the Suez canal. The statue of Isis was to be of “a robed woman holding aloft a torch” (Statue of Liberty: 1st Hundred Years, Bernard Weisberger, p.30, quoted in Beyond Babylon, James Lloyd, p.103).
