    Shalom…

Actually, I am very interested in what kind of tree that was used in the “physical” if you by chance have heard or understood….
I find it incredibly interesting how people’s names actually coincide with events such as you describe… and on a more personal note…, I had a sister by that name and I can tell you that she also carried a very distinct trait of bitterness in her tongue, though raised in a home where the love of Lord resided…
I once came across an understanding that all the names first given in Genesis when translated into their meanings speaks a complete sentence concerning humanity…

I can’t remember if that was through you or if not: I will make an attempt to search for the info…. but to you that would be a no brainer….

Shalom and hope your Pesach was reviving….

Shalom. I found this on the web at: http://etzion.org.il/vbm/english/archive/salt-shemot/16-17beshalach.htm
The Keli Yakar cites several different views from the Midrash in identifying the kind of tree this was which miraculously transformed the water. One view identifies the tree as an olive, another claims it was a willow, and a third says it was hardofni – a kind of harmful berry. Yet a fourth view, that of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, explains the term “etz” (“tree”) allegorically, as referring to Torah. In his view, Moshe was instructed to teach Benei Yisrael some Torah, and this would transform the water.
