One Response to Torah Tidbits: Pinchas – “The Zeal Of God”

  1. JAIME says:

    Shalom…

As this portion cycles once again, I seem to have a Temple Shekel.., and scorched by fire…

In my Understanding a “zealous” man of God does rejoice when a rapist, murderer, child molester, etc. is given a proper dirt nap…
And not just for the community’s sake, but more importantly for “upholding” Torah.

“Only with thine eyes shall thou see the reward of the Wicked
Because thou hast made the Lord thy refuge; even the most High thy habitation; there shall no Evil befall thee..”
    Psalm 91

How many licentious acts are being committed each day against children in the U.S. alone ?
What does that say of our country ? What does that really say about Christianity ?

True, most people are squeamish of judgement and justice, and because of such weaknesses, homosexuality runs free to pervert the children, and the weak…

Where are the Watchmen who would “execute” judgement and justice in the Lord’s Vineyard these days ?

Are we not “commanded” to throw down everything that seeks to exalts itself above all that is God & Torah ?

I will differ with you in the duality of Anger and Hatred, dear brother… For as I see it “zeal” IS having anger and hatred combined forming the catalyst of Fire… and Holy Fire is the result when the Heart is True and Pure…

    “My zeal consumes me because my enemies have forgotten thy words;
Thy Word is very pure Lord therefore thy servant “loveth it”; and though I may be small and despised, I decline not from thy testimonies”
    Psalm 119: Tzaddi

Anger and Hatred ARE the issue brother, for in today’s America, Evil is called Good and Good; Evil…

I personally believe more destruction has occurred by perverted ungodly teachers in schools than any amount of plastic explosives could ever do…

“Blessed are the undefiled in the way who walk in thy Torah, blessed are they who keep thy testimonies and seek thee with their whole heart, they also do no iniquity; they walk in thy ways…
“How shall a man cleanse his way ? Only by taking heed of thy Word thereof”
“I will keep thy statutes Father, do not utterly forsake me”
“My soul breaks for the longing that it has unto thy judgements at all times”

    Psalm 119: Aleph/Beyt/Aleph/Gimmel

    Shalom, shalom
