One Response to Torah Tidbits: Vayetze – “What Would You Do?”

  1. JAIME says:

    Shalom..

In my understanding; these tests provide scars of righteousness upon our souls, so that we too may be counted somewhat worthy in the sufferings of Christ Hameshiach…
Only children pure and innocent may enter into Heaven without scars…
Through these “Job tests” I am always moved to reflect; would I not feel ashamed to enter Heaven’s rest without bearing scars of righteous sufferings ?
But more than that, these scars that are laid upon my soul define for me a special unity in the hope and longing for my Savior, along with a stronger faith…
    How ?
“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
For I am the Lord thy God; the Holy One of Israel, thy Savior”
    ISAIAH 43:2-3
    WHY ?
“I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine”
    ISAHIAH 43: 1

    For what purpose ?
That I may learn to “FEAR NOT”

As I understand it….. Shalom, shalom
